The mission of Sidener Academy for High Ability students is to serve the unique academic, social, and emotional needs of high ability students from diverse social, cultural and economic backgrounds.  Sidener Academy is committed to developing independent, self-directed learners and believes that its administration, faculty, staff and community at large must share responsibility for meeting these needs.

Goal Statement

In support of our mission, the administration, faculty and staff of Sidener Academy for High Ability students are bonded together in our commitment to accomplish the following goals:

• To provide a learning community for high ability students that is nurturing, safe, supportive, and maintains as its core values excellence, scholarship, respect and courage.  
• To provide a learning experience for students that differs from the regular classroom in depth, complexity, and acceleration commensurate with the needs of high ability students.
• To provide a differentiated curriculum that utilizes problem solving, critical and creative thinking skills, and integrated thematic instruction.
